“Girls Would Be Imported For Marriage” . No this is not government schemes. This would become reality for four states namely gujarat , haryana , punjab and himachal pradesh , if people of these states dont grow up.The Male-Female sex ratios are pathetic is these states. For e.g. in punjab the ratio is worst 793 girls per 1000 men!!!!!!!!A news was shown in news channel few months back. The report was on village on punjab where most of men were un married and were finding difficulty in getting brides. Reason?. The girl-boy ratio is pathetic and most of girls parents are marrying their girls with NRIs…

So what’s the future?. Well inter state marriage would rise. The girls would be imported from states which have good ratio and married with man where girls are less in number. But again this would disturb balance of other states.

The ideal solution is stoping female foeticide . We do have law against it. But mere law cannot help. We need to educate people regarding this also. Female foeticide is in collective consiousness of communities and to eradicate it we must have proper education programs.

Ladki Bhoj hai , ladki parai hai , ladka khandaan ka naam aage badata hai are programs which have been in pyschic of people since centuries. We need to work on that to bring change. It is lot of hard work and along with this program , the laws can be made more strict.

Mean While people always work for their benefits and this can be good motivation for them that their sons wont have bride for themselves if female foeticide continues.
